Andrew Smith, MD, PhD, FACS

Andrew Smith A New York native and graduate of University of Michigan, Dr. Smith attended medical school at SUNY Stony Brook. He joins us from Cleveland, OH, where he completed his vascular surgery residency at the Cleveland Clinic.

During his time in Cleveland, Dr. Smith earned his PhD in molecular medicine at the Lerner Research Institute studying mechanisms of neointimal hyperplasia and vascular graft failure. He has co-authored nearly two dozen peer-reviewed manuscripts and presented at multiple regional and national academic meetings. Dr. Smith has extensive training in both open and endovascular surgical techniques.

His clinical interests include management of thoracic and abdominal aortic disease, mesenteric & renovascular disease, lower extremity peripheral arterial disease, cerebrovascular disease, hemodialysis access and venous insufficiency.
